Arthur Nelson Dings died at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, NH on October 25, 1981 after an apparent heart attack. He was born on April 18, 1940 in Claremont, NH; the son of Lyman Nelson and Christina Alice (Breault) Dings.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Claremont. He was a 1958 graduate of St Mary High School. He served in the U S Army from May 9, 1963 to May 7, 1965. He was a shipping and receiving clerk at Hampshire Manufacturing Company for the past twelve years. He was a member of the Claremont Country Club, the Sugar River Association of the American Bowling Congress, the Loyal Order of Moose No 1201, and the Claremont Lodge of Elks No 879.

He married Beverly Kasaras on January 26, 1963 in Claremont but they later divorced.

The family includes his two sons Matthew N and Michael B Dings both of Springfield; and two sisters Mary Hall of Claremont and June Courtemanche of Ft Hood, TX.

Burial is in St Mary's Cemetery.
