He had lived in Middletown since 1964 where he was employed as a tool and die maker in Research and Development for the Jacob Mfg Co. He was a former resident of Claremont, NH where he was employed by Cone Automatic Machine Co, the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co, and Joy Mfg Co.
He married Beatrice Fontaine on August 12, 1935 but they later divorced.
He married Hazel (Davis) Gladue on April 7, 1960 in Woodstock, VT but they later divorced.
He leaves his mother of Barton, VT; son Eugene Demers of Middletown; daughter Patricia Walker of Cornish, NH; stepdaughter Sherry Czaja of Middletown; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; six brothers Clifford Demers of Albany, NY, Edmund Demers of Bristol, CT, Wallace Demers of Milford, CT, Maynard Demers of Hartland, VT, Gerald Demers of Barton, VT, and Earl Demers of Salem, NH; and four sisters Cordelia Helie of Miami, FL, Geneva Forrest of Lowell, MA, Florence Marcoux of Enfield, CT, and Jeannette Vallee of Salem, NH.
Burial is in St Mary's Cemetery.
