Marie M. Ballentine, 90, Onaga, died Tuesday, October 29, 1996, at a hospital in Fort Worth, TX. She was enroute to Yuma, AZ where she makes her winter home.

The daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Mitz Graf, she was born November 4, 1905, on the Graf farm southwest of Onaga.

Mrs. Ballentine attended grade school at White Pigeon Grade School, the Onaga Grade School and the Duluth Parochial School. She had lived in the Onaga area most of her life, except for a period between 1964 and 1970 when she lived in Shawnee.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Duluth; the Onaga Senior Citizens Club, and a sewing and card club.

She married Dietrich Wegner February 17, 1926, at Duluth. He died April 24, 1963. She married Merle Ballentine May 22, 1964 at Topeka. He died March 19, 1983.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wegner, who was stillborn. She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and a sister.

Survivors include a companion, Al Coyle; a son, Ronnie L. Wegner, Onaga; a step-son, Larry Ballentine, artsell, Alabama; three step-daughters, Dene Myers, Wichita, Donna Doles, Deming NM and Janice Doxator, Stevens Point WI; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
