Clift, James Harold - age 102 of Knoxville, loved the Lord and went home to be with Him on July 12, 2017. He was born to parents, Robert Alexander and Susie Walker Clift on January 3, 1915, and enjoyed a full and complete life. Harold was the oldest living member of Lyons Creek Baptist Church. An active member of the Carter Community, he was a member of the Carter Optimist Club, and a charter member of the Carter Park Association. He worked at Davis Manufacturing Company (TryMe Spices) and Gourmet Foods for almost 50 years, retiring as Vice President and Operating Manager. Harold loved his family and they were very important to him. He always wanted them around for meals, special occasions and any other time they could visit. Harold was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Faye Delay Clift, and they enjoyed 45 happy years of marriage. Also preceding him in death were his parents and four siblings, George (Helen) Clift, Virginia (Guy) Turbyville, Charles Clift, and Reford (Nellie) Clift. Survivors include his children, Nancy (Leon) Cole, Melody (Doug) Turner, and Hal (Terry) Clift; wife and the second love of his life, Sandra Hamilton Clift. Harold and Sandra were married on December 27, 1990, and were blessed with 27 happy years together, traveling and caring for each other. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren that he loved dearly, Doug (Jeannie) Cole, Andy (Karyn) Cole, Matt (Anne) Turner, Diana Turner, Amber Turner, Laura Clift and Rachel Clift; great-grandchildren, Aaron Cole, Jake Cole, Ellie Cole, Alex Kate Cole and Molly Turner. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Lyons Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Monday at Trentville Cemetery for an 11:00 AM Graveside Service. Pallbearers will be Leon Cole, Doug Turner, Doug Cole, Andy Cole, Matt Turner, Aaron Cole and Jake Cole. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Class of Love. Memorials in Harold's memory may be made to Lyons Creek Baptist Church Capital Fund, 9235 Strawberry Plains Pike, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871.
