Obituary
Mrs. Sarah Marlow, wife of James Marlow, well known to all of our readers, died from the effects of cancer trouble at her home on June 10th and was buried in the cemetery in Adams, June 12th at 10 o'clock a.m. She was born in Franklin County, this State, three miles from Brookville, on Jan 15,1835 and was fifty-five years, four months and twenty-six days old at the time of her death. She leaves a husband and eight children besides a host of friends to mourn her loss. She was the mother of eleven children, three of whom had preceded her to the better land. She was a kind and affectionate wife and a loving mother, and the untiring attentions of her children during her long sickness was evidence of the high esteem in which she was held by them. Nothing was left undone that a devoted husband and an obedient and loving family of children could do to alleviate her suffering. She was a devoted Christian during her life time and lived an exemplary and pure life. In the death of Mrs Marlow the family sustains an irreparable lose and have the sympathy and regard of all who known them. The funeral of Mrs. Marlow, which was one of the largest ever had in this county, attests the high esteem and kind regard in which she was held by her neighbors and acquaintainces in this county, who extend their sympathy to the bereaved family.
