Blanche's died a few months after her infant child, reportly of Peritonitis.

Obit abstract: published in Feb. 13, 1908 issue. Mrs. H. O. Mechling, aged 34 years, died at her home in Thornville. She was born Blanche, daughter of Daniel Crumley of Hocking Township (Fairfield Co OH). Survived by husband, parents and brothers, C. H. Crumley of Mt. Vernon, Ralph and Glen Crumley of Fairfield Co OH. Her only child died 5 months ago. She was buried in Thornville Cem. "Genealogical Abstracts from The Lancaster (Ohio) Gazette, V7, 1906-1910", Fairfield County Gen., Society, 2006, p 98.
