Find A Grave contributor Julia Baker has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Ruben Weisinger.
Their suggestion:
Private Rueben J. and John M. Weisinger joined the Company H, 5th Texas Mounted rifles (5th Texas Cavalry) in 1862. They furnished their own horses. In their first battle they would fight dismounted aboard one of the "cottonclads" attacking in the Battle of Galveston. They would remount and fight in Louisiana and Texas until the unit disbanded at the end of the war. They never surrendered and lived long and productive lives building Texas, Rueben into the early 1900s.
