"Mrs. Margaret Calvin Stafford, aged nearly 85 years, died at one o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Nash, on East Main street, after suffering a considerable time with heart trouble. Deceased was born March 2, 1838, in Green township, a daughter of the late Robert and Jane McBride Calvin. After her marriage to Joseph Stafford she resided in Greenford and North Lima, coming to Canfield 42 years ago. Mr. Stafford passed away some years since. She was a quiet unassuming woman, much devoted to her home. She was for many years a member of the Presbyterian church. Three children survive, Mrs. Cora Nash, Canfield, with whom she made her home, Ira Stafford of Youngstown and Dr. A. C. Stafford of Bairdstown, Ill. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. J. C. Roller, of Ashtabula, who is the last of a large family. Funeral services, in charge of Rev. W. P. Hollister, pastor of the Presbyterian church, will be held from the Nash home Friday afternoon at 1:30. Burial in the village cemetery."
