Betty Schierholtz Alderman, 78, Brainerd, died Monday, March 17, 2003, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
She was born Feb. 26, 1925, in Minneapolis to Albert Edward and Charlotte Helen Schierholtz. She graduated from Brainerd High School and Macalester College. She married Robert R. Alderman on Sept. 5, 1947, in Brainerd. She was a member of the Women's Association of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Brainerd Service League, the International Chapter P.E.O. Sisterhood, the First Congregational Church and the Fifty-two-somes.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce Alderman, Baxter, Dave Alderman, Corvallis, Ore., and Rob Alderman, Minnetonka; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Albert "Bud" Schierholtz, Hanahan, S.C.
Her husband; and a brother, Charles R. Schierholtz, died earlier.
Following a private graveside reading of the 23rd Psalm, burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements were with Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd.
