Paul worked as a personnel manager with Esso in Venezuela in 1948-52; with RCA in Camden, N.J., for a year; with Reaction Motors in Morris Plains, N.J.; and with the U.S. Trust Co.
It was not while in South America that Paul met his Colombian wife Signa. As it happened, the mother of Paul's sister-in-law worked as a nurse with Signa in a Miami hospital. She introduced Signa to Paul and they were married just eight months later. Their home was bilingual, and Paul most often referred to Signa as Mi Amor. In due time they had two children.
Paul could easily see the humorous in any situation and was very easy-going. He also had a strong sense of and appreciation for family.
His hobbies included restoring classic automobiles, of which he owned a number over the years.
This first-cousin-once-removed fondly recalls when Paul and Signa generously asked me as a young boy to join them for the week on their family vacation at Lake Winnipesaukee, N.H. I had a great time. That and many other things still speak of Paul's large-heartedness.
