Death removed Cisco's only centenarian when Mrs. Sarah Wood died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.V. Compton, at Nimrod, near Cisco. Mrs. Wood celebrated her 100th birthday last Christmas.
She came to Texas after the death of her husband in Arkansas in 1878, settling in Comanche County. She was in possession of all her faculties at death.
Survived by three children.
