SUNRISE, AZ Mary C. Bruen (Pompeo) of Surprise, Arizona, formerly of Jersey City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5th, at La Court, at Peoria Nursing Center, in Peoria, Arizona. She was 99 years old. Born in Jersey City, she lived in New Milford, Lodi and Woodridge, before moving to Arizona in 1997. She once worked for Western Electric Telephone Pioneers of Kearny and as a knitter. Devoted wife of the late Charles Bruen. Cherished mother of Dr. Charles Bruen, Jr. and his wife, Carol Benyo. Loving grandmother of Charles Bruen, III Esq. and Debra Lynn Dieviney. Beloved great-grandmother of Vincent Mannino, Jessica Bruen, Sean and Julianna Dieviney. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., from the Introcaso-Angelo Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
