Funeral services were held Monday in the Hedley First Methodist Church for Crayton H. Brewer, 60, former Hedley and Hall County resident. Rev. T.Marvin McBrayer, pastor of the Groom Methodist Church officiated and was assisted by Rev. Huckaby, pastor of the Hedley church.
Mr. Brewer died Saturday at his home in Dalhart where he had lived for the past 15 years. He was active in the oil industry during the past few years.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Myrtle Brewer, Dalhart; three daughters, Mrs. Emma Ruth Manning, Stroud, Okla.; Mrs. Earl Moon, Dalhart; and Mrs. Ray Dell Neighbors, Coney, Okla.; three sons, Harold, Phoenix, Ariz.; J.P., Dalhart; and Roy Brewer, USAF stationed in Phoenix; two brothers, Clint N. Brewer, Clarendon, and John F. Brewer, Los Angeles; one sister, Mrs. Irene Kenney, Dalhart; and 12 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Fred Butler, Earl Patton, T.D. Weatherby, Grant Hartwell, Red Stephens and Earl Clemons.
Burial was in Rowe Cemetery, Hedley with the Murphy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
