Dorothy Mae (Small) Blose, 86, formerly of Blose Road, Glen Campbell, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at North Ridge Nursing Home, North Ridgeville, Ohio.
The daughter of John O. and Iva Mae (Peterman) Small, she was born Dec. 12, 1918, in Shade Township, Somerset County.
Mrs. Blose resided most of her life in Montgomery Township until she moved to North Ridgeville, Ohio, 3 1/2 years ago to be closer to her daughters. She was a graduate of Montgomery Township High School and was a member of the Montgomery Church of the Brethren, where she had been very actively involved for decades. Her life was devoted to her family and the church.
Mrs. Blose loved to crochet.
She married her late husband, A. Dean Blose, on June 17, 1938.
She is survived by two daughters: Shirley Buterbaugh and her husband, Jack, ... and Aldeen Baker and her husband, Carl, ... three grandchildren ... five great-grandchildren... a brother, Mervin Small and his wife, Vivian...; a brother, Cloyd Dobson;...and a sister-in-law, Lois Jean Small....
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; her parents and a brother, Charles Small.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 1 to 2 p.m Friday at the Rairigh Funeral Home Ltd., Hillsdale. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor James Smith and Pastor Linda Reininger officiating. Internment with a graveside service will follow at the Montgomery Cemetery, RD Glen Campbell.
Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Alzheimer's Association and the Montgomery Church of the Brethren.
