Bayside Woman Claimed by Death
Mrs. Maria Jane Baxter of Bayside died at the Trinity hospital Friday afternoon of last week following an illness. Deceased was a native of Eureka, born April 29, 1877. She had resided for many years at Bayside and besides her husband, Elmer Baxter, leaves the following children: Mrs. John Hummel of Eureka, Mrs. Ray Harris of San Francisco, and Alex B. Baxter of Bayside. Also surviving are one grandson, Raymond E. Harris of San Francisco; two sisters, Mrs. J. Bell and Mrs. R. J. McNeill; and a brother, James Carlisle, all of Eureka. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon with Rev. C. P. Hessel officiating and interment was in the Myrtle Grove cemetery.
