Mary Alma George left St. Paul after high school and moved to Pittsburg where she was employed at a bank.
She married Harold C. "Jack" Brannan 15 Oct 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage.
Mrs. Brannan worked in Joplin, Mo. from 1951-1961 as the office manager at St. John's Hospital. From 1961-1962, she worked she worked in the Business Office at Rockhurst College and from 1962-1982 as comptroller at the Rockhurst High School, both in Kansas City, Mo.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Health Center Auxiliary both in Kansas City, Mo., and the Osage Mission Historical Society.
A concelebrated funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, St. Paul, Kansas with Msgr. Vincent Hogan, Rev. John Apel S.J.; Rev. William Steiner S.J.; and Rev. Mario Purecelli S.J. officiating. Burial was at the St. Francis Cemetery, St. Paul, Kansas.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Sacred Heart Chapel of Rockhurst High School.
