Anna 'Patsy' B. Evans, 92, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Hospice Community Care in Wilkes-Barre surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wilkes-Barre, on March 13, 1918, she was a daughter of the late James J. and Anna Ell Boyle. Patsy was a 1936 graduate of Coughlin High School and worked for The Boston Store, and later King's College from 1968 until her retirement. She was a member of Saint Therese Parish, Wilkes-Barre. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers James, Thomas, and Donald Boyle; and grandson David Evans. Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Ben E. Evans; son, Ben and his wife, Nancy, Lansdale, Pa.; daughter, Susann Evans, Hanover Township; son, Chris and his wife, Marsha, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Tricia Zielen and her husband, Lee, Larksville; grandchildren, Tim, Judy, Michael, and Matthew Evans, Elena Lynett, Daniel and Eric Evans, Pamela Tedesco and Kimberly Kane; great-grandchildren, Emmeline and Alexander Evans, Gregory, Corinne and Hayden Lynett, Christopher and Nathaniel Tedesco and Kiara and Richard Kane; brother, Patrick J Boyle; and sisters, Magdalen Gates and Sally Barrett. The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday from the Jacobs Funeral Service, 47 Old River Road, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Therese Church, 25 Old River Road, Wilkes-Barre. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
