*Martha Dunlap daughter of John Dunlap who lived on the headwaters of Dunlap's Creek near McClellandtown, Pennsylvania, married Isaac Messmore on May 25 1802.
Isaac settled there and subsequently became owner of the farm and at his death, his son John became its owner, and later Jas. H. Hoover, who was a Son in law of John became owner and is the owner at this time. The land is underlaid with coal and is very valuable. Isaac and Martha had four sons and five daughters. Isaac was born May 7 1777 and died June 16 1860. Aged 83 years, 1 month and 9 days. Martha Dunlap Messmore, his wife, was born March 27, 1776 and died June 12 1856, aged 80 years, 2 months, and 15 days.
