Ann Elizabeth NEWMAN was the daughter of Joseph NEWMAN (1809-1877) and Elizabeth HUGHES (1811-1907). She pioneered to Utah from England as a child with her parents and five living brothers. (Oldest brother had died as infant in England.) Ann Elizabeth NEWMAN married as his second wife George Washington GIBSON (1800-1871) 15 Mar 1857 in the Presidents Office, Salt Lake City, Utah. Ann was 40 years younger than her husband George W. GIBSON. She was the mother of six children.
