Addison M. Woolman, 75, a resident of Centralia, died Tuesday in a Centralia hospital.
He was born Oct. 3, 1894, in Winona, Ohio and had been a resident of Centralia for the past 26 years, moving from Los Angeles. He was employed by the Los Angeles Police Department as a detective for 21 years, retiring in 1942, and had been employed by Reda Hardware for 13 years, retiring in 1959 He was a member of the Quaker Church in Winona and a member of the Fords Prairie Grange for 24 years.
Survivors include his widow, Alice, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Darold (Frances) Lafferty, Stockton, Calif., one foster daughter, Mrs. Norbert (Alberta) Stohlman, Los Angeles, two sisters, Mrs. Abe (Jessie) Peacock, Plainsville, Ind. and Mrs. Emily Pollard, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Russell Woolman of St. Clairsville, Ohio, three grandchildren, three foster grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

NOTE; Addison was first married to Reine Marguerite Mercer. They had one child, David, born Jan 1919. I can find no record of David, only that he died before 1923. Addison and Marguerite divorced and Addison moved to California. Frances Lafferty listed in his obit as his daughter is not his biological daughter and is not believed to have been adopted by Addison. Addison's sister, Jessie Peacock, lived in Plainfield, Indiana, not Plainsville. Addison also had a sister, Edith, who drowned while on a family outing in 1922 or 1923.
