JARVIS, William C. Sr. "Bill," 79, of Land O' Lakes, passed away March 4, 2008, at University Community Hospital in Tampa. He was born in Charleston, W.Va., and came here three years ago from Brooksville. He was Baptist by faith and also served in the Army Air Force. He is survived by his children, Brenda Lassiter and her husband, Bill, of Land O' Lakes, Fla., David Jarvis and his wife, Mary, of Alachua, Fla., Susan Wade and her husband, Steve, of Lakeland, Fla., and William Jarvis Jr. of Newport, Tenn.; six stepchildren, Bob Cornelius of Brandon, Fla., Marilyn Tipton of Brooksville, Fla., Michael Cornelius of Tampa, Ric Cornelius of Tampa, Linda Greene of Valrico, Fla., and Judy Cole of Brandon, Fla.; three sisters, Bessie McCabe of Mulberry, Alaska, Ruby Schuman of Patchogue, N.Y., and Irone Arrowood of Hurricane, W.Va.; 19 grand-children, James, Kristiana, Sonia, Christopher, William C. III, Stanley, Kevin, Chris, Brian, Justin, Jennifer, Jeremy, Heather, Alison, Mike, Karla, Kyle, T.J. and Charlie; and nine great-grandchildren. A gathering in memory will take place 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Brooksville Chapel of Brewer and Sons Funeral Homes, 1190 S. Broad St. A celebration of life will be conducted at 1 p.m., with interment following at Florida National Cemetery, with full military honors
