Services for Milton "Sarge" Campbell, 86, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Sanders Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Paul Jantzen. Interment with Military Honors will be at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Mr. Campbell died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003. He was born to the late Mary and Bill Campbell May 12, 1917, in Fort Worth. He graduated high school in Fort Worth and moved to Lubbock in 1942. He married Mildred Head in 1943; she preceded him in death June 24, 1998. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a veteran of the Korean conflict and Vietnam War, serving in Special Forces during Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force in 1968. He was a 32-degree mason and member of the Yellowhouse Masonic Lodge. He retired from the Texas Tech Bookstore and was currently employed with Barnes and Noble Booksellers.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Margaret Decerbo of Newburgh, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Stacy Buchholz and Tiffany Crook, both of Newburgh; three great-grandchildren; a nephew, Dean Carlile of Lubbock; and his best friend, Geneva Turzer of Lubbock.
