JOSEPH OLIVER SMITH
Joseph Oliver Smith, 87, of 1538 Drury, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday in Sunshine Acres rest home.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Denby, Route 5, and Mrs. Maxine Woods, Fair Grove; a son, Leon Smith, 2118 Howard; a sister, Mrs. Verla Hurst, Walnut Grove; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Mr. Smith had been ill for some time. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenlawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cecil Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Turkey Creek Cemetery, near Walnut Grove.
