Glenwood, Utah - Sheldon Henry "Chub" Hendrickson, age 81, of Glenwood, died March 17, 2010 in Richfield, Utah. He was born June 7, 1928 in Glenwood, a son of Clayburn and Zelma Peterson Hendrickson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He married Marie Jensine Holst, June 2, 1961 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, July 9, 1984. Marie died January 27, 2005.

Chub loved his occupation of farming and raising livestock. He loved to serve his wife, children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Bruce K. and Patricia Hendrickson of Glenwood; Barbara and Jeffrey Bode of Moore, Idaho; 7 grandchildren: Preston Hendrickson, Levi and Alissa Hendrickson, Rachel Hendrickson, Kendra and Travis Torgerson, Brach Hendrickson, Coleman Bode and Marshall Bode; 2 great-grandchildren: Taylan Hendrickson and Kellan Hendrickson; three sisters: Ione Townsend of Brinnon, Washington; Alitha Opoulos of Magna and ArtaLou Coy of West Valley City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother and two sisters: Bud Hendrickson, Loraine Peterson and ArnaVee Bradshaw.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 12 Noon in the Glenwood LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services.

Burial with military honors accorded by the VFW Sevier Post #5050 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Glenwood Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah
