Of Carroll, Dies
DELPHI — Carl T. Gates, 69,
of rural route 3, Lafayette, died
at 10:45 p.m. Sunday at the
Home hospital in Lafayette. He
had been a patient at the hos-
pital since Thursday.
Born April 5, 1895, in Tippecanoe
county, he was the son
of Nelson and Susie Treida
Gates. His marriage on Feb. 24,
1940 was to Alice Primmer,
who survives.
Survivors besides the widow,
include three daughters, Mrs.
Paul Miller, Lafayette; Mrs.
George Martin and Mrs. Max
R. Isley, both of rural route 3,
Lafayette; seven grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren
A retired farmer, he had lived
his entire life the Colburn
community.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at the Jackson fu-
neral home. The Rev. O.P.
Manker officiate and burial
will be in the Lutheran ceme-
tery at Colburn, Friends may
call at the funeral home after
noon Tuesday.
