Mrs. Hazel Teague Aldridge, age 87, of 144 Juniper Drive, Boone, died Sunday, March 7, 2010.
Mrs. Aldridge was born May 23, 1922 in Ashe County, a daughter of the late James and Rebecca Sluder Teague.
She was a retired employee of IRC in Boone, and a member of Greenway Baptist Church.
Mrs. Aldridge is survived by one son, Cecil Aldridge and wife Susan of Blowing Rock; two daughters, Judy Aldridge Castle and husband Steve, and Ann Aldridge Shore and husband George, all of Boone; four grandsons, Barry Aldridge and wife Andrea of West Jefferson, David Aldridge of Boone, Todd Castle and wife Anissa, of Boone, and Mitchell Shore of Sugar Grove; two granddaughters, Starla Wilson of Rockingham, and Stephanie Byrd and husband William of Boone, and thirteen great-grandchildren, Riley, Peyton, Bailey, and Ragan Aldridge; Tyler and Caroline Wilson; Samantha, Heather, and Tanner Byrd; Brett and Holly Aldridge, and Hamilton and Anderson Castle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lon D. Aldridge; one sister, Jenny Critcher, and six brothers, Russell, Jesse, Bynum, Mont, Dennis, and Crate Teague.
Burial will be in Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.
