Visitation for Robert L. Schaaf, 87, of Bourbonnais, will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. services at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais. The Rev. Dr. Frank Garton will officiate.
Inurnment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley. He died Monday, March 15, 2010, at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee, IL.
Mr. Schaaf was a retired employee of Carson Pirie Scott. He had also worked at Schlitz Beer Company. He was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Chicago, the son of Ralph and Clara Seeley Schaaf. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, the former Edna Mae Larson, whom he married Sept. 15, 1943; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kent and Fran Schaaf of Schererville, Ind., Bart and Tari Schaaf of St. Anne; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are his parents and one brother, Ralph.
