T M Boyd 90, former Clark county resident, died early yesterday at his home, 8403 Thirty-eighth ave., Southeast Portland. Mr. Boyd came west thirty years ago settling at that time at Grass Valley, near Camas, WA. Later he moved to Image to make his home with his daughter Mrs. N. G. Skidmore and between four and five years ago moved to Portland to make his home.
Mr. Boyd is an uncle of Mrs. E. H. Smith of Vancouver.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Methodist Church and was a Civil War veteran in Company G, Ohio 40th Infantry Regiment. He was wounded 20 September 1863 during the battle of Chickamauga, Georgia.

Death of Thomas Boyd
Earlham. January 22. Special - The older members of the community will read with regret of the death of Thomas Boyd, aged 89, who died at his home in Portland, Oregon, on January 9th, after a few hours illness. The late Mr. Boyd visited a number of his old friends here a few years ago, when he came back to attend the national G.A.R. convention in Des Moines. Mr. Boyd lived on the farm now owned by Frank Fritz, and was a brother-in-law of B. F. Fry, who visited him last fall.
He was the brother to Abagail Boyd Carter who is buried near by.
