Mr. Parker J. Ragsdale, age 84, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009.

Born in Hiram, Georgia, he was the son of the late Myrtis Parker and Joseph Frank Ragsdale. He was a Navy veteran who served during World War II. He retired from his first career in typewriter and office machines sales and repair, having spent many of those years as a small business owner. He later completed another career with Genuine Parts Company/Raylock.

Mr. Ragsdale was preceded in death by his loving wife, Agnes Wynelle Ragsdale; a son David Wayne Ragsdale; his granddaughter Christy Ragsdale Montano; and siblings, Charlotte Ragsdale Tolbert, Horace Edward Ragsdale and James Franklin Ragsdale.

He will be missed in life by his children, Bonny Ragsdale Rosser and husband James, Dan Michael Ragsdale and wife Cynthia, Jeffrey Scott Ragsdale and wife Qiaobin, Dana Ragsdale Potter and husband Gary; along with ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; his sister Imogene Ragsdale Price and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-9PM, Mar 17,2009 at the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, 2189 Midway Road, Douglasville, Georgia. Funeral services to be held at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Mar 18, 2009 at 11AM. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery.

Flowers are welcomed, or those desiring may make memorials to the Godfrey Ragsdale Crib Fund at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation at 1687 Tullie Circle NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30329.
