Mr. Etheridge was a farmer and a former Marengo County Commissioner for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Etheridge.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Etheridge of Sweet Water; one son, Thomas Grey (Bonnie) Etheridge, Jr. of Pleasant Grove; one granddaughter, Susan Joiner of Millbrook; and two great-grandchildren, Lauren Joiner and Logan Joiner, both of Millbrook.
Active pallbearers were Don Crocker, Joe Reed, Pete Bedsole, Jimmy Etheridge, Harry Wood, Jr. and Bly Tucker.
Honorary pallbearers were Members of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class.
