Connie was the daughter of John "Linville" and Leona Childers Carpenter. She first married Arthur W. Brown in 1937. She married Clarence "Jip" Warden Henderson Jr. on September 9, 1972 in Campbell County, TN.
Survived by two sons, Arthur W. (Margaret Ann) Brown, Jr. and David P. Brown; three daughters, Jeanne (Bill) Banks, Janice (Saul) Hounchell and Debbie (Lance) Thomas; and a brother, David Ray Carpenter.
