Charles A. Calhoun
Charles A. Calhoun, aged 89 years, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. A. Turner, at Emden, Mo.
The body was brought to the Westbrook Funeral Home in Houstonia, and funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the Mount Zion church, Dunksburg, the Rev. Young, pastor of the Methodist church at Sweet Springs, to officiate.
Mr. Calhoun was born in Winston, N. C., and was married to Miss Mariah Hall, December 14, 1873. Six children were born of this union, two of whom are living, Mrs. Turner, and Perry Calhoun, the last named of Amory, Miss. Mrs. Calhoun died in 1888 and Mr. Calhoun married Mrs. Agnes Lee, who died 1933.
Besides his two children he leaves eight grand children and nine great grandchildren.
