A, 17th Pennsylvania Cavalry (162nd Pa), also served with companies C & E, and honorably discharged with his company June 16, 1865.
He married Catharine Amanda Sponsler October 8, 1867, and fathered Myrtle (b. 11/05/69 - married Harvey B. Baker), Dora (b. 11/02/74 - married Albert Edward Gordon), Gertrude (b. 06/??/83), and Harry Michael (b. 05/27/86). In 1887, he lived in Waynesboro, Franklin County.
