Son of Hezikiah Luther and his second wife Sarah Butterworth. Served in the Swansea Militia. Was in Innkeeper by trade and served as the Town Clerk for Swansea for many years. He, along with his sons Robert and Hezikiah died within a week of each other, all of smallpox.
