Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors in the War of the Revolution, 17 Vols.: Goddard, Thomas, Cambridge (probably). Private, Capt. Samuel Thatcher's co., Col. Gardner's regt., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775; service, 3 days; also, list dated Cambridge, May 1, 1776, of men returned as having served as guards to prevent the rescue of prisoners; also, order dated Cambridge, Sept. 23, 1778, signed by Capt. John Walton, directing Sergt. Thomas Fillebrown to detach said Goddard and others from Capt. Walton's co. to join Capt. Frost the following day at Cambridge, and to march thence to Boston to serve there or elsewhere as directed by the Council.
