Harold Keene Burt was the younger of two sons of James A. Jessie Burt and Sallie Belle Dearman Burt. He was named in part for his grandfather Elijah Keen Burt, whose grandmother was Barbary Allen Keen. Harold served in the U. S. Air Corps during World War II. He was married and divorced and had one daughter. Harold was an excellent musician, playing the piano, organ and accordion.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.
Graveside services for Harold Keene Burt will be held today at 2 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Dave Spaulding officiating. Hardage-Giddons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Burt, 81, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, in Jacksonville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in World War II.

Survivors include his daughter, Lora A. Tucker of Meridian; two grandsons, William and Nathan; a sister-in-law, Martha A. Burt of Jacksonville; nephews, Jim Burt of Jacksonville and Kenny Burt of Lake City; a niece, Alice Gregory of Rhode Island; and longtime friends, Tresa Kingston and Paul White.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James L. Burt.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
