Mr. Lee married a young woman of Choctaw Indian and Scottish heritage at Halletsville, Texas in 18__. Their family grew to one son and three daughters before the War Between the States developed. Jackson joined his friends and neighbors and enlisted to fight for what they believed in. As Waul's Legion marched toward Vicksburg, Jackson became ill. Eventually, he returned home and a fifth child was born in 1865. Within the next five or six years, both Jackson and his wife died. C.P. and Sarah took the children to raise.
