Mrs. Mary Elza Griego, 52, a resident of Rio Rancho, New Mexico passed away on September 23, 2007 and is now in Heaven with our Lord. Mary is the beloved wife to Don Griego, married for 31 years. Mary is also survived by her children, Mari Griego and Erik Griego; brothers and sisters, Larry Garcia, Emy Lewis, Ray Garcia and wife, Prescilla, Tom Garcia and wife, Gloria, Mary Ellen Montoya and husband, Ernie and Priscilla Knotts; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gilbert and Mary Griego; brothers and sisters-in-law, George Griego and wife, Shirley, Gilbert Griego and wife, Rosemary, Ann Chavez and Leroy Romero; Godchildren, Corinne Gallegos, Dionne Griego, Tino Teller, John Griego, Daniel Griego and Delaney Dropinski; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends. Mary was preceded in death by parents, Atanacio and Tomasita Gonzales-Garcia and her grandpa, John Humphrey. Mary was a member of the Catholic Church, an employee of Garson and Son's for 27 years. Mary managed her daughter, Mari's singing career and supported her son in sports; and she loved arts and crafts. Mary was an exceptional daughter, wife, mother, sister, Godmother and friend. Throughout her life she always took care of others before she took care of herself. She was very loved by many people and she will be greatly missed. Visitation for Mary will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by her brother, Tom Garcia. Final visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with a Communion Service to be held at 9:00 a.m. by Deacon Pilar Garcia. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tino Teller, Danny Soto, Daniel Griego, John Griego, Brian Chavez and Chris Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be great nephew, Austin Dropinski and her great niece, Delaney Dropinski. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
