Bountiful - Edward "Ted" Gulich Newman, age 88, died Monday February 27, 1978 in an Oregon hospital.
Born September 16, 1889, Salt Lake City, to William Jackson and Mary Gulick McKean Newman. Married June Frances April 26, 1919, Salt Lake City. She died February 11, 1959. Resided in Centerville from 1924 to 1977. Taught shop classes at West High School for 20 years. Later worked as a contractor to build many homes and business offices in Davis County. Traveled extensively and excelled in cooking.
Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Darwin (Nancy) Arnell, John Day City, Oregon; grandsons, Clay, John Day City, Oregon; Mark, Germany.
Funeral services will be held Friday 12 noon at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call one hour prior to services, in lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be sent to the Primary Medical Center. Interment, Centerville City Cemetery.
