Raymond S. Carr, 90, of Clinton died at 5:08 p.m. Friday (March 12, 2010) at Dr. John Warner Hospital, Clinton.
He was born Dec. 12, 1919 in Fulton County, Indiana to Alonzo Howard and Lelah Marie Powell Carr. He married Virginia C. Harmer on Nov. 25, 1945 in Woodriver. She passed away Nov. 16, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Michael) Simonton, Clinton and Mary (Dale) Crank, Oak Ridge, Tennessee; four sisters, Evelyn Stalets, Helen Griffith and Thelma Clark, all of Taylorville and Lorene Brewer, Akron, Ohio; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
