COADY, Bishop A. Ronald
December 12, 1928 - March 8, 2010
Bishop A. Ronald (Ron) Coady, a bishop to the body of Christ at large, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at the age of 81. He was a resident of St. John's Retirement Village in Woodland, CA which he had called home for the last four years of a monumental life. The family and friends of Ron wish to extend our deepest gratitude and thanksgiving for all the skilled, professional, and deep-caring staff that helped Ron, both at St. John's Retirement Village, Stollwood, and Woodland Healthcare CHW hospital.

Ron Coady is survived by his only remaining child Calvin (Lois), grandchildren Naomi Ruth (Scott) Headley, Naomi Elizabeth Coady Esq., Noel Coady, and great-grandchildren Bethany Benton and Nathaniel Headley. His wife and two children preceded him in death. Through much study and being an extremely well read person, Bishop Coady became one of this generation's greatest theological leaders. He would go on later to earn his Bachelors, Masters, and D.D. degrees. His personal delight was in the study of current events as related to church history.

Bishop Coady authored numerous publications including "I Shall Not Want" (1963), "Successful Christian Living" (1964), "Walking in New Realms" (1965), and others. His last publication was "Why the Hell am I in Debt?" (2005). Television and radio media were also used by Bishop Coady. He was the host of the television programs "At the Altar" and "In His Presence" during the mid 1970's. He will be missed by many, but he was ready and wanted to go home.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 16th between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Wiscombe Funeral Home, 116 D Street, Davis, CA 95616. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 (St. Patrick's Day) at the Davis Community Church (Presbyterian) located at 412 C Street, Davis, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Clergy from the United Kingdom, Canada, and across the United States will arrive to give Ron a "grand send off". An interment service will be held at Davis Cemetery with a reception following.
