Mrs. Savage was born in Berkeley County, a daughter of Charlie Ballentine and Minnie Huxford Ballentine. She was a member of North View Christian Church in Goldsboro, N.C., and was the widow of John Savage.
Surviving are a son, Charles Savage of Kinston, N.C.; a daughter, Yvonne S. Brown of Cordesville; a brother, Calvin Ballentine of Russellville; three sisters, Georgia B. Blume of Columbia, Ida B. Feagin of Bonneau and Annie B. Beckham of Moncks Corner; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
