Ms. Sherfy died in her home. The daughter of Arthur Hoehne and Martha (Easter) Hoehne Kohler. On March 7, 1951, in St. Louis Co, MO., she was united in marriage to Cecil "Duke" Sherfy who survives. "Peggy" as she was known is also survived by her father; two daughters, Terry Blakemore of Jenkins, MO. and Denny Blake of Shell Knob, MO.; a son, Scot Sherfy of Shell Knob,MO.; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister Pat Rickard and husband Ron of Shell Knob, MO.; and a brother, Bud Hoehne and wife Jann of Gray Smmit, MO.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Peggy spent many years in the restaurant business in Shell Knob. She drove a school bus in Shell Knob from 1972-1975. She loved holidays, and her greatest joy was dressing in Halloween costumes and distributing candy to all of her bus children. She enjoyed playing bingo and fishing, and loved living at the lake. She and Duke were charter members of the Shell Knob Eagles Lodge. Peggy spent her life loving and giving to all her friends and family. To have received that love from her is our greatest blessing. Mom's faith and belief in God was extremely strong, and she lived every day with that belief.
Services were held in Peace Lutheran Church. Rev. Neal Ahart conducted the services.
