Barney Lee Darnell, 77-year old father of Ernest Darnell, 306 E. Fifth Street, died at 11:30 this morning at his son's home.
He was visiting here from his home in Hollis. Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of relatives.
Survivors beside his son Ernest are his wife, Mrs. B.L. Darnell of Hollis; sons R.A. Darnell, Dumas; R.D. Darnell, San Jose, California and C.L. Darnell, San Gatos, California, two Brothers, J.M. Darnell, Martha, Oklahoma and Horace Darnell, Witchita Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Lou Harrison,Fort Worth and Mrs. Molly Pate, Dallas; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
