William C. Stolzmann, of 5 Pinewood Drive, died peacefully at Memorial Medical Center on Friday, June 17, 1994.
Bill was born on July 9, 1909 in the town of Centerville, Manitowoc Co., the son of William and Laura Neuhaus Stolzmann. He attended the Pleasant Hill Centerville District school.
On September 23, 1933 he married Freda Kasten of Rockville, Wis. With his partner, Frank Thielmann, Bill owned and developed Thielmann Sausage Co. When Mr. Thielmann died, Bill continued the company as sole owner, changing the name to Old Wisconsin Sausage Co. He retired in 1975.
Bill was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ for over 50 years, faithfully serving and supporting his church until the time of his death. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #11.
Bill is survived by his wife, Freda; one son and daughter, Royce Stolzmann and Sue Ellen (Ray) Hoffmann, both of Sheboygan; five grandsons, Joel (Mary) Stolzmann, of Washington DC, Steve (Linda) Stolzmann, Arthur (Diane) Stolzmann, William Stolzmann and Ross Hoffmann, all of Sheboygan nine great-grandchildren, Kelly, John, Andrew, Brian, Amy, Amber, Luke, Cali and Christopher Stolzmann, of Cleveland, Wis. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sons, two sisters and two brothers.
A memorial service in Bill's honor will be held at Ebenezer UCC, 3215 Saemann Ave., on Saturday, June 25, at 3:30 p.m. Bill will be laid to rest on what would have been his 85th birthday, July 9, 1994 at Rockville Cemetery, with his immediate family in attendance.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be given to the memorial fund established in his name for Ebenezer UCC Church.
