OBITUARY Iron River Reporter March 21 1990 "Obituaries: Raymond Robinson"
IRON RIVER-Raymond H. Robinson, 86, of 400 Barry Rd., Iron River, died March 18 at the Sycamore hospital in Sycamore, Ill. following an illness of the last seven months.
Mr. Robinson was born April 8, 1903 in Spencer, S.D., where he grew up and attended school. He worked as a farmer in South Dakota until 1941, when he moved to the local area and was employed at local logging camps for the former Wend sawmill. He married the former Doris Bergstrom on Sept. 22, 1927 in Salem, S.D. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Iron River.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Roger of Lake Zurich, Ill., Charles of Fox River Grove, Ill., Richard of Ladysmith, Wis. and Melvin of Columbia Heights, Minn.; two daughters, Naomi Barry of Iron River and Donna Townsend of Veneta, Ore.; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21 at the Brooks-Langenberg Funeral Home in Iron River.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at the funeral home. The Rev. Gregg Mayberry, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
