Son of Dwight and Janet (Case) Donahey.

On Aug. 19, 1995, he married Becky Reimers at Columbus.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Becky and their children, Trevor and Chloe, all of Cozad; parents of Grand Island; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Marc and Gena Donahey of Palmer and Jerald Donahey of Farwell.

Additional survivors include maternal grandmother, Esther Case of Dunlap, Iowa; a nephew, five nieces and a host of other relatives and good friends.

He graduated from Grand Island High School in 1988. In 1995, Allen graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a degree in Construction Management. Allen and Becky made their home in Lincoln briefly, before moving to Cozad in January of 1996. The couple's marriage was blessed with two children, Trevor and Chloe.

Allen had been employed at Paulsen Inc. as an Assistant Manager of the Gravel Department until 2004, when he began work with the State Department of Roads as an Engineer in North Platte.

Allen was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Cozad and was active in the Knights of Columbus as a 3rd Degree Knight. He was a member of the Cozad Elks Lodge 2250 and the Triangle Fraternity in Lincoln. Allen was an Eagle Scout and had served as the Scout Leader for the local cub scouts.

He enjoyed building remote control airplanes and playing guitar. Above all, Allen was a dedicated husband and father. His most cherished times were spent with his wife and children, who he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Minna Donahey and his maternal grandfather, Robert Case.
