EDWIN BILLARD

Mr Edwin Billard of Main Street, Southold, died at the Eastern Long Island Hospital on April 8, 1966. He was born on July 25, 1902 in Baltimore Maryland, son of William and Carolyn Horton Billard.

Mr Billard was associated with the textile business in New York City for eighteen years and had been a manager of the Migrant Labor Camp at Greenport for eleven years. At the time of his death he was assisting at the office of the Dickinson Agency in Southold. He was well known for his ready wit and he enjoyed reminiscing about old families and people of Southold.

He is survived by three brothers, Kenneth C of Staten Island, Norman of Vero Beach, Florida, and William of Nanticoke, Maryland. Two sisters, Elsa and Carolyn and a brother Frank, an Archbishop of the Greek Orthodox Church, predeceased him. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.

Graveside services were held at the Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of the DeFriest Funeral Home on Monday afternoon, April 11th with Rev John Howard, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating.
