BASSFIELD - Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at L.L. Roberts Methodist Church in Bassfield for Robert Earl Applewhite, 88, of Bassfield, who died March 30, 2006, at his residence.
Burial will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Applewhite was a farmer and construction worker. He was a member of L.L. Roberts Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Applewhite.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanette Delancey and Judy Bryant, both of Bassfield; five sons, Rex Applewhite of Laurel, Don Applewhite and Tom Applewhite, both of Purvis, Ted Applewhite of Bassfield and Hal Applewhite of Sumrall; two brothers, Victor Applewhite of Ellisville and Ray Applewhite of Bassfield; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Saulters-Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss is in charge of arrangements.
