As a young man, Clark joined a threshing crew and has been a farmer all of his life. He had lived in Saxman and Hutchinson communities before moving to Nickerson in 1918. He was married to Clara Reed, sister to Nellie wife of Fred and Rosa wife of James, who passed away in 1925. In 1930 he married to Ida Yaple who passed away in 1953. Clark Park was survived by two daughters, Mrs. Orville Bookless of Wakefield, Kansas and Mrs. Vernon Drake of Sterling, Kansas. By two sons Howard of Nickerson, Kansas and Alvin of Wichita, Kansas. There were seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren at the time Clark died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Hutchinson, Kansas. Clark and Clara had 10 children.

CLARK C. PARK NICKERSON--
Clark C. Park, 82, died Thursday morning in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Hutchinson after a short illness. He was born Dec.15, 1879, in Kingman. At an early age he joined a threshing crew and farmed in the Saxman community. After living in South Dakota and Hutchinson he came to Nickerson in 1918. He was married to Clara Reed who died in 1925. He then married Ida Yaple March 8, 1930. She died in 1958. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Orville Bookless, Wakefield and Mrs. Vernon Drake, Sterling. two sons, Howard, Nickerson, and Alvin, Wichita, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Church. Rev.Arlyn Clary will officiate. Burial will be in the Eastside cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Lamb Funeral Home.
